Speaking Workshops

The ability to speak well in public is a skill increasingly needed in our world. How are your skills, or those of your children? Improving speaking and other “soft skills” helps in school, business, career, community, and more!

For Children and Young People

Parents in this century are noticing many things that seemed less obvious in the past. One area in particular is that of public speaking. Between presentations in school and university, job interviews, and the ability to create a successful career or business in adult life, many parents are planning ahead with public speaking skills for their children.

Short-term options such as speaking workshops can help with focused areas such as speechwriting, class presentations, storytelling, giving feedback, building confidence and interview skills, can be focused on other areas by request. A good workshop includes 6-10 participants for best engagement, and students will receive a workbook (used in class) and certificate. Workshops are available in 4- 6- and 8-hour sessions, and a pizza lunch is included in the 6- and 8- hour sessions.

For Adults

Youth aren’t the only ones who benefit from public speaking skills. In today’s job market, “soft skills” in speaking, communication and leadership are some of the most prized for employees and businesspeople alike.

Adult workshops can focus on areas like public speaking, networking, giving feedback, interview skills, leadership skillls or understanding and adapting to communication in North America. Workshops are offered in lengths ranging from 2-8 hours and longer workshops include a provided lunch. As with the youth workshops, groups of 6-10 participants are ideal. though a networking workshop could include slightly higher numbers.
